21st Century

As a 21st century educator, I have started to incorporate a lot more Google Classroom tools to help students with assignments and learning choreography. Students will have the opportunity to download music that we will be dancing to from here.

Additionally, I created a website for students to use as a resource. On this site, students can find choreography footage, handouts, and tips for applying skills learned to their other classes to name a few resources.

Here, I recorded three pieces that we presented for our Spring show. By request of the students, I recorded the choreography and put it up on Google Classroom so that they can review it and practice the movement at home.

At first I was apprehensive, but after seeing the results, I plan to use this in future classrooms.

By bringing different dance styles, I hope to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive classroom.
